Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist, Mood Disorders Centre: University of Exeter
Posted: 7/1/08

Two new posts are available for qualified CBT Therapists interested in working in a clinical research centre focussed on mood disorders www.centres.ex.ac.uk/mood/. The posts would include access to high quality training and supervision in specialist cognitive and behavioural approaches to depression. Post 1 will contribute to the delivery of a specialist treatment service for severe and recurrent depression. Post 2 will work on a funded trial of cognitive behavioural therapy as an adjunct to pharmacotherapy for treatment resistant depression in primary care. While these posts are primarily clinical positions, they are fully integrated with our research activities and there will be some research and teaching opportunities.

Applicants must have an appropriate professional qualification and experience of working as a CBT therapist. For an informal discussion please contact Professor Willem Kuyken (Tel: 0044 (0) 1392 264659; e-mail: w.kuyken@exeter.ac.uk) or Dr Eugene Mullan (Tel: 0044 (0) 1392 262497; e-mail: e.g.mullan@exeter.ac.uk).

Application packs are available from www.admin.ex.ac.uk/personnel/jobs. The closing date for completed applications is 12 noon on the 7th July 2008. Interviews are expected to take place in Exeter on 24 July 2008.
